Engineering Manager, Infrastructure

Overview

In this role you will lead the infrastructure engineering function to turn AI prototypes into scalable, production-grade enterprise solutions. You’ll manage a team focused on secure, reliable systems that power AI-driven applications and evaluation tooling, partnering closely with product, security, and leadership to align on goals. Your work will influence platform reliability, developer experience, and operational health across live deployments. This position offers impact through shaping infrastructure strategy and driving cross-functional execution. You’ll contribute to scalable playbooks and ongoing improvements that accelerate customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the infrastructure roadmap aligned with business and engineering priorities
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure systems
• Set and maintain SLAs/SLOs for platform uptime, performance, and developer experience
• Manage the engineering team and drive technical delivery
• Design, build, and optimize backend services for AI-driven applications (agents, evaluation tooling, automation)
• Influence culture, values, and processes within a growing engineering team
• Inspire and mentor engineers
• Collaborate with product, security, and engineering leadership to align goals and priorities

Key requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience and 2+ years of managing infrastructure or platform teams
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure or OCI)
• Experience with Kubernetes deployments on on-prem infrastructure
• Strong CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform) experience; container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience operating production environments with high availability, reliability, and scalability
• Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and incident response best practices
• Experience with modern developer platforms and internal tooling to improve engineering velocity
• Solid foundation in network engineering
