As a Children’s Assistant Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support services. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting social workers in the assessment and planning processes for children in care.
  • Supporting children and families through direct work, building trusting relationships.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of care plans.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure coordinated support.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant qualification in social care, such as a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children and families in a social care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
  • A good understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage a caseload effectively.
