About the Post:
Barnsley Council is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly organised Business Support Officer to join the Hospital Social Work and Reablement Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide a comprehensive business support service to two busy Adult Social Care teams that support people through hospital discharge, recovery and re ablement . The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the service by providing high-quality administrative support to managers and practitioners.
Key Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
- Providing comprehensive administrative support across the Hospital Social Work and Reablement Teams.
- Organising and supporting a range of meetings, including taking accurate minutes and producing action notes.
- Processing referrals, requests for service and associated documentation.
- Maintaining accurate records and updating electronic systems in accordance with information governance requirements.
- Preparing reports, correspondence and other service documentation.
- Liaising effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery.
- Undertaking a variety of general administrative duties whilst managing competing priorities and deadlines.
About You
We are looking for an individual who:
- Has experience of working within a business support or administrative environment.
- Has experience of servicing meetings and producing accurate minutes.
- Possesses excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Is able to work with highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Has good IT skills, including experience of Microsoft Office applications.
- Can work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team.
