Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking an AML Analyst to join its London Risk and Compliance function on a permanent basis.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AML professional to join a high-performing AML team within a leading international law firm. The successful candidate will support the firm’s AML processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal obligations across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and assessing AML and wider financial crime risks associated with new client and matter requests
  • Conducting client due diligence and documenting client and matter risk assessments
  • Performing adverse media, sanctions, PEP and watchlist screening, analysing findings and escalating concerns where required
  • Assisting with Enhanced Due Diligence on high-risk clients and matters, including conducting further research and identifying potential financial crime concerns
  • Supporting ongoing client and matter monitoring activities
  • Liaising with key internal stakeholders, including Partners, Associates, Conflicts and Accounts teams
  • Maintaining internal compliance registers, checklists, records and protocols
  • Assisting with internal and external audit preparation
  • Monitoring regulatory developments across the jurisdictions in which the firm operates, including FATF black and grey list updates
  • Supporting procedural changes following regulatory or policy updates
  • Assisting with research and updates to AML training materials
  • Supporting ad hoc AML, CTF and wider compliance projects

Requirements

  • Previous AML experience within a law firm is essential
  • Strong understanding of AML, CTF and CPF requirements and wider financial crime risks within the legal sector
