Yard Operative – Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Location: Leeds

Start Date: Monday 24th August

Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing

Pay: Competitive, depending on experience

We are currently looking for an experienced Yard Operative with a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence to join our team in Leeds, starting Monday 24th August.

This is a hands-on role working within a busy yard environment, so we’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading materials safely using a counterbalance forklift
• General yard duties and keeping the yard clean and organised
• Moving and storing materials safely
• Loading vehicles and preparing materials for delivery
• Manual handling and general labouring duties
• Following all site health & safety procedures
• Supporting the wider yard and site team as required

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence – essential
• Previous experience working in a yard, warehouse or construction environment
• Good level of physical fitness
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Scaffolding labouring experience would be highly advantageous
• Construction/site experience is preferred
