Responsibilities
- Develop subject matter expertise in major European regulations (e.g., ESMA Short Sell Reporting, EMEA Major Shareholder, London Takeover Panel, MiFID)
- Execute risk and control processes to ensure compliance with non-financial regulatory obligations, including intra-day and weekly deadlines
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders in Business, Engineering, Compliance, and Legal to support reporting functions
- Consult on business and functional projects to enable compliant commercial activity
- Analyze complex data flows and booking models to assess reporting quality impacts
- Leverage data analytics, automation, and AI-driven tools to detect anomalies, mitigate risk, and streamline workflows
- Identify, design, and drive process improvements to deliver robust system and control frameworks
- Train and motivate colleagues toward personal and departmental targets
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with experience in financial services
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex workflows and attention to detail
- Clear communication skills to articulate issues and ideas and escalate when needed
- Good interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders
- Self-motivated team player with strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Understanding of financial markets, regulatory landscape and related processes
- Understanding of financial, operational, and reputational risk
- Proactive mindset toward process improvement and openness to AI tools and automation
- Understanding of financial products (e.g., equities, exchange-traded derivatives, OTC derivatives) is advantageous
- Experience with project management and business analysis is advantageous
- Interest in data analysis, process automation, big data, or non-technical process efficiencies is advantageous
- Preferred: experience with regulatory reporting and monitoring (e.g., ESMA Short Sell Reporting, EMEA Major Shareholder, London Takeover Panel, MiFID)
