Overview
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead cost and commercial management on large, long-term, new-build residential schemes for a prominent housebuilder. You will work within the commercial team to deliver robust financial control across multiple projects, contributing to quality-focused homebuilding across the UK. This role suits an autonomous professional who thrives on managing several concurrent schemes and delivering on-site and financial targets. Responsibilities
- Manage costs and commercial activities on multiple concurrent new-build residential projects
- Maintain strong cost control, budgeting, and reporting
- Coordinate procurement and subcontractor management to protect commercial outcomes
- Support autonomous project delivery and align with project timelines and quality targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize value and risk management
Key requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with a reputable housebuilder
- New build residential project experience essential
- Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects
- Excellent all-round commercial skills
- Full UK Drivers Licence
- Degree qualification preferred (ideally)
