Overview

In this role you will join a leading main contractor’s Social Housing Department to manage multiple build and refurbishment projects. You will work autonomously on 2–3 schemes, typically valued between 1m and 5m, contributing to commercial delivery and value protection. The position sits within a dynamic team focused on social housing across new build and refurbishment work. This is an opportunity to shape project outcomes within a reputable established contractor and impact client relationships through solid commercial performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage 2–3 projects concurrently from commercial perspective
• Work on both new build and refurbishment projects in the social housing sector
• Apply strong cost control and commercial practices to protect project value
• Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure timely, accurate reporting
• Support bid/tender processes and contract administration as needed

Key requirements

• Track record with a reputable main contractor
• Experience on social housing new build and refurbishment projects
• Able to work autonomously on multiple projects
• Excellent all-round commercial skills and knowledge
• Full UK Driving licence
• Able to commute to Hertfordshire (near Watford) daily
