Overview
In this role you join Chadwick Nott’s in-house resourcing team to provide practical, commercial real estate and/or planning advice within client organisations. You’ll be embedded in client teams, leveraging firm resources and training while shaping real estate and planning outcomes. The position offers variety across sectors, flexible working patterns and opportunities to deepen client relationships and identify growth. You’ll operate with autonomy, delivering high-quality counsel that aligns with business goals.

Responsibilities
- Advise on commercial property transactions, landlord and tenant matters, and development projects
- Support planning applications, appeals, inquiries and infrastructure-related planning work
- Work autonomously within client environments and build strong stakeholder relationships
- Strengthen client relationships and identify opportunities for growth
- Provide pragmatic, solutions-focused advice aligned with business needs
- Represent the firm within client teams while accessing firm resources and training
Key requirements
- 3–8 years’ PQE (England & Wales, Scotland or other common law jurisdiction)
- Experience advising on commercial property and/or planning matters
- In-house or secondment experience (desirable)
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships quickly
