Senior Bid Writer

Overview

Senior Bid Writer to shape winning tender responses for BAM’s Infrastructure segment. You’ll work with cross-functional bid teams, distilling complex engineering concepts into clear client-focused content and guiding workshops within bid programmes. You’ll help refine proposals to meet client objectives, support graphics integration, and contribute to post-bid learnings and case studies. This role blends collaboration, strategic writing, and bid process leadership in a dynamic, home-based setup with periodic site and office visits.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-scoring tender responses aligned with the win strategy
• Follow and drive the proposals development process and programme
• Attend and facilitate writing workshops with section owners and contributors
• Collaborate with section owners to produce pink and red review responses within deadlines
• Work with Graphics team to produce high quality response graphics
• Incorporate review feedback into evolving responses and meet bid programme deadlines
• Contribute to post-bid lessons learned and Work Winning Hub development
• Create case studies and support site/offices visits as needed
• Understand BAM’s offer and keep up-to-date with company developments to inform tenders
• Perform other bid-related duties and ad hoc requests from the Proposals team
• Support development of answer guidance and case studies as requested
• Possibly participate in pre-bid stages and workshops
• Engage in visits to sites/offices for evidence gathering
• Contribute to knowledge base and best-practice documents in Work Winning Hub

Key requirements

• Degree level or equivalent qualification (preferred)
• APMP Foundation level (preferred)
• Extensive experience in developing high-scoring tender responses for major infrastructure bids
• Thorough knowledge of major infrastructure projects, clients and drivers
• Proven ability to lead collaborative writing workshops
• Experience collaborating in large tender teams and with subject matter experts
• Knowledge of AI’s role in proposal development
• Ability to distill complex concepts into plain English for clients
