In this role you will join a standalone, top-tier Planning & Compulsory Purchase team to deliver strategic advice on major UK infrastructure, energy, and development projects. You will work across offices on high-profile matters, from early strategy to delivery, and collaborate with leading lawyers to shape planning outcomes. Responsibilities

• Provide strategic planning advice on town and country planning, development consenting, and CPO matters
• Advise on EIA/HRA, inquiries, examinations, and judicial review
• Collaborate across offices to manage a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects
• Support the full lifecycle of major schemes from initial strategy to delivery
• Contribute to the team’s client base and reputation through high-quality work

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer
• Ideally 3+ years’ post-qualification experience in planning law
• Experience across planning, consenting, or CPO matters
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Ability to manage a varied and complex workload
