gap personnel Bristol are operating as an employment business and currently looking to recruit a FLT Driver/ Food Packing Operative for a clean room environment to join our health food manufacturing client based in Bristol (BS31). As a FLT Driver/ Food Packing Operative, you willjoin a team where you will become a key and valued member providing support to key operations such as receiving, storing and dispatching products in the warehouse and always ensuring that orders are shipped to customers on time, accurately and without damage.
Please note: you will be working around ingredients that may contain nuts and dairy.
Key Responsibilities:
- To demonstrate a positive food safety culture.
- Carry out the loading and unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock; ensure items match relevant paperwork.
- Pick, pack, and label goods from throughout the warehouse, according to Sales or Work orders for dispatch or inhouse production in line with relevant schedule.
- To store, segregate and rotate stock according to established procedures, assist with inventory counts and location checks.
- Keep the warehouse environment clean and tidy, maintain equipment and report non-conformities to a member of management team.
- Ensure all goods are always to the highest specification and quality and record the results of all the necessary quality checks.
- Assist production team when required.
About You:
- Valid license for Counterbalance and Forklift Truck (plus minimum 1 year experience).
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures within a warehouse environment and regarding the use of forklift trucks.
- Physically active due to manual handling
- Working within a similar industry advantageous
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory records and proper handling of goods
- Reliable and professional
- Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
