Senior BI Analyst (Fraud & Financial Crime / Collections & Recoveries)

Overview

In this role you will design and deliver trusted data products to support risk and operations at Zopa. You will build dashboards, data pipelines and semantic layers in collaboration with Analytics Engineering, enabling self-serve insights for decision makers. You’ll work across Fraud & Financial Crime and Collections & Recoveries to improve reporting, data quality and monitoring at scale. This hybrid London position offers a chance to impact customer outcomes while shaping data practices in a fast-growing fintech bank.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain dashboards using Tableau or similar BI tools
• Use SQL to explore data, build structured datasets and deliver repeatable analysis
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business problems into analytical solutions
• Define, document and maintain trusted metrics and self-serve reporting
• Deliver recurring MI and monitoring to support operational and risk decision making
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineering to evolve core data models and modernise transformations
• Improve data quality and reporting standards for analytics products
• Monitor performance across operational or risk-focused domains

Key requirements

• BI/analytics or reporting experience with production datasets
• Strong SQL skills with large, complex datasets
• Experience with a BI tool (Tableau, Looker, or Power BI)
• Experience with data modelling or dbt and robust pipelines with good documentation
• Strong analytical judgement, attention to data accuracy
• Ability to translate ambiguous business needs for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Clear communication and constructive challenge of data concepts
• Organised, curious problem solving and priority management
• Python experience is beneficial but not essential
