Education Recruitment Compliance Officer
Location: Harrow on the Hill, London (Metropolitan Line)
OTE: Up to £41,871
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday – 08:30 – 17:00
Working Pattern: Office-based, 5 days per week – no hybrid working
Enlighten Supply Pool is an established education recruitment agency working with schools and education provisions across London and the surrounding areas.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced, organised and proactive Compliance Officer to join our team in Harrow.
Compliance is at the heart of education recruitment. The person joining us will play a key role in ensuring that teachers, teaching assistants, support staff and other education professionals are fully vetted, compliant and ready to work safely within our client schools.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already understands compliance and administration and wants to take ownership of an important function within a busy recruitment business.
The Role
As our Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for managing the compliance and onboarding process for candidates from registration through to clearance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing candidate registrations and compliance from start to finish
- Completing and checking DBS documentation and DBS Update Service status
- Obtaining and verifying references and employment history
- Conducting Right to Work checks
- Checking identification and proof-of-address documentation
- Verifying qualifications and relevant certificates
- Completing safeguarding and compliance checks in line with education recruitment requirements
- Identifying and investigating gaps in employment history
- Ensuring candidate files are accurate, complete and audit-ready
- Maintaining accurate records on our CRM and internal systems
- Monitoring expiring documents and obtaining updated information
- Liaising with candidates to obtain outstanding compliance documentation
- Supporting consultants to ensure candidates are cleared quickly and efficiently
- Carrying out general administration associated with candidate onboarding and recruitment
- Maintaining high standards of confidentiality and data protection
- Helping the business maintain strong safeguarding and compliance standards across our school partnerships
What We Are Looking For
Previous compliance experience is essential, and applicants must also have experience working in an administrative role.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident managing multiple candidate files and priorities
- Experienced in administration and record keeping
- Comfortable working to deadlines
- Confident communicating by telephone and email
- Proactive and willing to chase outstanding information
- Able to work independently while contributing to a wider team
- Professional when dealing with candidates, schools and colleagues
- Confident using databases, CRM systems, Microsoft Office and other administrative systems
- Someone who takes pride in getting things right the first time
Previous experience within education recruitment, recruitment compliance, safeguarding, healthcare compliance or another regulated recruitment environment would be highly advantageous.

This is a fully office-based position in Harrow, five days per week.
We do not offer hybrid or remote working for this role.
