Practice Lead

Overview

As Practice Lead, you will drive learning and development for social work and allied staff, championing our relationship-based, holistic practice model. You will deliver innovative training, support quality assurance, and role-model exceptional practice to uplift outcomes for children, young people and families. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to embed the Our City, Our Children, Together vision and strengthen the workforce through coaching and reflective supervision. This role offers meaningful impact in a high-trust, ambitious council environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a robust, creative learning programme for social work and allied staff
• Lead training sessions that are evidence-informed and aligned to the Workforce Academy Operating Model
• Advocate for excellent, relationship-based practice and promote the practice model
• Support faculties and implement the Workforce Strategy to empower practitioners
• Contribute to quality assurance and practice improvement via coaching, mentoring, and reflective supervision

Key requirements

• Registered children’s social worker
• ideally a Practice Educator or willing to work towards the qualification
• passion for supporting others and championing excellence in children’s services
