Computer Aided Design Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team in Manchester, working on a variety of construction and glazing projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate technical drawings and supporting project delivery from design through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for glazing, façades, and construction projects.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings to create accurate fabrication details.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure drawings meet specifications.
• Amend and update designs based on client feedback and project changes.
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure all documentation is up to date.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CAD Technician within construction, glazing, façades, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit or other CAD software desirable).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
• Good understanding of construction and glazing processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
