Associate Director – Fire Safety

An opportunity for an experienced Fire Safety professional to take a senior leadership role within a growing consultancy, helping develop the fire and building safety offering across the South West & Wales.

The role combines technical delivery, client management, business development and team leadership, with projects across sectors including healthcare, education, residential, defence, commercial and public sector.

The Role

• Lead the regional fire safety and building compliance offering.
• Provide technical advice across fire safety, Building Regulations, passive fire protection and compartmentation.
• Take responsibility for complex fire safety and remediation projects.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify and win new business, including bids, tenders and framework opportunities.
• Grow and develop a regional fire safety team.
• Oversee project quality, delivery, resources and financial performance.
• Work closely with the wider national fire safety network and multidisciplinary teams.

About You

• Strong background in fire safety consultancy.
• Good knowledge of fire legislation, Building Regulations and compliance.
• Experience managing complex projects and client relationships.
• Proven leadership and business development experience.
• Relevant degree and recognised industry accreditation/chartership such as MRICS, MIFSM or IFE.
• Level 4 Fire Risk Assessor qualification.

Desirable: Building Safety Act/Principal Designer experience, fire remediation or framework experience, and NEBOSH/IOSH.
