Director of Financial Services

Overview

In this role you will provide strategic financial leadership to support A2Dominion’s transformation journey and strong governance. You will partner with executive stakeholders to shape the finance vision, lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting, and embed high-performing business partnering across finance teams. You will oversee rent and service charge management with regulatory compliance and resident confidence, balancing affordability with long-term sustainability. You will strengthen controls, risk management and continuous improvement to deliver better outcomes for residents. This is a visibility role that shapes financial strategy in a mission-driven housing organisation.

Responsibilities

• Shape the finance vision and roadmap; lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting
• Embed a high-performing business partnering model to support decision-making
• Oversee rent and service charge management with regulatory compliance
• Strengthen governance, risk, and finance operations with robust controls
• Lead continuous improvement in financial processes and regulatory adherence
• Partner with executive stakeholders and board-level audiences
• Drive financial performance improvements and change initiatives
• Foster innovation and cross-functional collaboration during transformation

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Senior finance leadership experience
• Knowledge of the housing sector and rent/service charge regulations
• Experience leading finance transformation and business partnering
• Strong people leadership and stakeholder influence abilities
