We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Histology to join our client’s team in York. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities

You will process and embed tissue samples, perform microtomy, and stain slides for microscopic examination. You will support pathologists in diagnostic reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• – HCPC registration
• – Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
• – Experience in Histology within a clinical laboratory
• – Experience with microtomy and staining techniques
• – Strong attention to detail
• – Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• – NHS experience (required)
