Kong API Gateway Specialist

• Location: London (3 days onsite per week)
• Duration/Type: Contract

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading enterprise API governance strategy, standards, and lifecycle management
• Designing, implementing, and administering Kong API Gateway (traffic management, routing, plugins)
• Defining API security controls (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, MTLS)
• Working closely with enterprise architects, security teams, and integration/middleware teams
• Establishing API monitoring, KPIs, and governance dashboards

What we’re looking for:

• Strong hands-on Kong API Gateway experience (Enterprise or OSS)
• Solid grasp of REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API security standards
• Cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP), CI/CD, DevOps
