ISG Management, Vice President, Divisional Data Officer (London)

Overview

As ISG Divisional Data Officer, you will oversee data governance and quality for senior management and regulatory reporting. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify control gaps, define remediation plans and present data metrics. The role focuses on safeguarding data integrity across the ISG Data Group and enabling data-driven decisions. You will work within a risk-aware environment, driving governance activities and data policy implementation to support business goals.

Responsibilities

• Review prioritized data initiatives and control framework with the ISG DDO team
• Identify control gaps and define remediation plans for data issues
• Manage data issue tracking and present metrics on data policy implementation
• Assess risk ratings of data issues and perform root-cause analysis
• Prepare status updates for Senior Management and Data Governance Committees
• Collaborate across teams to execute data projects and define data terms
• Track initiative progress, highlighting risks and dependencies to meet deadlines

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in the financial services industry
• Knowledge of financial products/assets classes/risk measures
• Trade lifecycle & F2B data lineage/data flow experience
• Experience in data management with focus on data definitions, data authorities, data quality rules and controls
• Understanding of Data Governance/Management principles
• Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail
• Ability to organize and present data clearly; collaborate with peers and leadership
• Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
• Advanced MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint; basic data modelling experience
• Ownership mindset, delivery-focused, able to manage expectations
