Overview

In this role you will own RF and electronics development across multidisciplinary projects, from concept to verification. You will work within a cross-functional team to deliver robust hardware for diverse applications, including defence and communications. You will tackle technically challenging problems, shaping hardware across the full lifecycle. This position offers hands-on development with extensive RF work and direct engagement with customers to explain decisions and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • own RF and electronics development across multidisciplinary projects
  • manage full hardware development lifecycle from concept to verification
  • design RF front-end components such as LNAs and power amplifiers
  • develop RF systems for communications, sensing and defence applications
  • design low-noise power supplies and mixed-signal electronics
  • PCB design, hardware bring-up, debugging and integration
  • perform RF testing using VNAs, spectrum analysers and signal generators
  • collaborate with antenna, mechanical, software, firmware and systems teams
  • contribute to client-facing discussions, explaining design decisions and turning complex problems into practical solutions

Key requirements

  • degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • strong electronic circuit design fundamentals
  • commercial RF electronics design experience
  • experience designing LNAs, PAs or similar RF front-end hardware
  • understanding of low-noise DC/DC or SMPS design
  • hands-on RF hardware bring-up, debugging and testing
  • experience with CST, HFSS, Microwave Office or Altium is useful but not essential
  • eligibility for UK security clearance
