We’re looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead and develop our procurement and contract management function.You MUST have previous procurement experience within care homes, nursing homes, residential care or a closely related care environment.This is a newly created strategic role, reporting to the Commercial Director, with responsibility for improving commercial performance, delivering savings, strengthening supplier relationships and ensuring procurement effectively supports our care services.
The Role
You’ll develop and deliver a procurement strategy covering key areas of spend across our care and nursing home operations, as well as wider corporate expenditure.You’ll lead strategic sourcing, category management, supplier negotiations and contract management across OPEX and CAPEX, using spend data and market knowledge to identify savings and improve value.Key responsibilities include:Leading procurement across care/nursing home and corporate expenditureDelivering measurable cost savings and commercial improvementsManaging tenders, sourcing, negotiations and supplier selectionDeveloping category strategies across OPEX and CAPEXImproving supplier and contract performanceStrengthening procurement governance, compliance and risk managementUsing spend analysis to identify savings and efficienciesBuilding strong relationships with operational care teams and senior leadersLeading and developing a small procurement team
About You – Essential
Previous procurement experience within the care or nursing home sector is essential. Applications without relevant sector procurement experience will not be considered.You must have:Proven procurement experience within care homes, nursing homes, residential care or a closely related care environmentStrong strategic sourcing and category management experienceExperience negotiating and managing supplier contractsA proven track record of delivering measurable cost savingsStrong commercial and stakeholder management skillsExperience working with operational teams and senior leadership*Rates depend on experience and client requirements
