A well-established law firm in Neston is seeking an experienced Family Law Locum or Consultant to assist with the management and closure of an existing caseload as part of the planned wind-down of its Family Law department.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Family Solicitor, Legal Executive or Family Law Consultant who can quickly get to grips with an active caseload and provide practical support during a transitional period.

The Role

• Reviewing and managing a live caseload of family and matrimonial matters
• Progressing files to conclusion wherever possible
• Providing advice and support to existing clients
• Ensuring all matters are dealt with professionally and in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Assisting with file transfers, closures and departmental wind-down activities
• Liaising with clients, courts, counsel and third parties where required
• Maintaining accurate file records and case management systems

About You

• Qualified Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer or experienced Family Law Fee Earner
• Strong background in Family and Matrimonial Law
• Able to manage a caseload with minimal supervision
• Experience handling divorce, financial remedy and children matters
• Strong organisational and client management skills
• Available at short notice
