Groundworks Foreman

• Supervise and coordinate groundwork teams on site.
• Manage day-to-day site activities and allocate labour effectively.
• Oversee excavation, drainage, foundations, concrete, kerbing, ducting and associated groundworks.
• Read and work from drawings, specifications and site plans.
• Coordinate plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Ensure works are completed on programme and to the required quality standards.
• Liaise with Site Managers, Engineers and other site personnel.
• Carry out regular quality and safety checks.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with RAMS and site procedures.
• Maintain a safe, tidy and productive working environment.
• Complete daily records and report progress, issues and requirements to site management.The successful candidate will have a strong background in groundworks and civil engineering, with proven experience supervising a team and delivering projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard., Previous experience as a Groundworks Foreman / Working Foreman.
• Strong knowledge of groundworks and civil engineering operations.
• Experience supervising and leading a site team.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Relevant CPCS/NPORS or other plant tickets would be advantageous.
• CSCS qualification required.
• SSSTS/SMSTS would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.Competitive salary/rate.
