Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their globally distributed team, working entirely remotely. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of sophisticated mechanical systems and components, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct advanced engineering analyses, including FEA and thermal analysis , to validate and optimize designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, product management) in a virtual setting to define and meet project requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and BOMs.
- Oversee prototype development, testing, and validation, troubleshooting complex issues.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering best practices in remote collaboration.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of comprehensive experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools (FEA, CFD).
- Strong understanding of material science, manufacturing processes, and DFM/DFA principles.
- Proven leadership skills and experience working effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
