Lease Construction Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end lease construction for data centre projects, ensuring readiness for service on time and within budget. You will coordinate lease providers, vendors, and Microsoft teams to uphold contractual and safety standards. You’ll drive governance, monitor progress, and implement scalable improvements across a fast-paced, technically demanding environment. This position supports Microsoft’s CO+I data centre strategy and core cloud services, contributing to sustainable, reliable infrastructure at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of lease construction projects to achieve RFS on time, within scope, and budget
• Serve as single point of contact aligning lease providers, vendors, and internal Microsoft teams
• Promote safety-first culture and ensure compliance with Microsoft standards and lease terms
• Manage dependencies, contracts, risks, and schedule alignment; facilitate decisions and hand-offs
• Track, report on project progress, KPIs, and regional capacity; provide leadership with insights
• Lead governance and communication rhythms (OAC meetings, status reports) for transparency
• Identify and implement process improvements and scalable solutions across Data Center Delivery

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent engineering science
• Extensive experience in construction management of large, complex projects with MEP plants
• Construction Health & Safety knowledge
• Ability to read and understand commercial lease agreements
• Background check requirements for Microsoft Cloud security screenings
