Newly Qualified Corporate Lawyer

Overview

In this role you join Baker McKenzie’s Belfast team to handle a range of multi-jurisdictional corporate matters for global clients. You will collaborate with multiple practice groups and support large, high-value transactions from due diligence to documentation. You’ll work as part of cross-office project teams and help drive process improvements. This is an opportunity to develop into a trusted adviser within a renowned, globally connected firm.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate and commercial matters across multiple jurisdictions, including large-scale due diligence and drafting reports/documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Corporate and Securities, M&A, and Cross Border Transactions
• Participate in project management, coordination, and delivery of matters
• Build relationships with partners and lawyers across jurisdictions
• Contribute to initiatives identifying innovative services, know-how, and platforms to improve efficiency

Key requirements

• Qualified as a solicitor in Northern Ireland and/or England and Wales
• Excellent academic record
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
• Sound commercial awareness and client-first orientation
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize work
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and online research tools
• Prior experience in commercial or corporate/M&A is desirable but not essential
