AI Project / Delivery Manager

Overview

As an AI Project / Delivery Manager, you will lead planning, execution, and delivery of AI initiatives for both public and private sector clients. You will bridge technical teams, business stakeholders, and end-users to ensure on-time, on-scope delivery aligned with strategic objectives. You’ll help shape AI strategy, governance, and operating models while delivering measurable business benefits. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with a focus on responsible AI and governance in a leading AI practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of AI engagements across client base to ensure measurable business benefits
• Develop and maintain delivery plans, RAID, and actions for structured execution
• Lead regular stand-ups and ceremonies with client and engagement teams
• Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes with governance reporting
• Provide governance reporting to senior stakeholders and track budgets and forecast spending
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and cross-functional alignment
• Support compliance with ethical AI, data privacy, and public sector standards
• Contribute to AI strategy, governance frameworks, and operating models

Key requirements

• 7+ years delivering complex software engineering projects
• 3+ years delivering AI-enabled projects with understanding of ML, NLP, Generative AI, and Agentic AI
• Experience delivering bespoke engineering solutions for enterprise-scale public/private sector clients
• Experience managing projects with ambiguity and rapid iteration
• Ability to lead client-facing delivery teams across onshore/offshore
• Ability to review and challenge AI solution designs and manage AI risks
• Proficiency in Agile (Scrum) delivery
• Significant consulting experience and strong commercial acumen in contracts and project economics
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, data visualization tools and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
