Overview

As Creative Lead for UK Consumer Marketing at Google, you set the creative goal and oversee execution across social, events, and media, ensuring high-quality, tastefully aligned campaigns. You collaborate with UK and global teams to adapt positioning to the UK market and drive a scalable, agile agency model with industry partners. You lead a cross-functional team, mentor talent, and explore AI-enhanced creative processes to shape breakthrough work. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on creation to amplify Google’s master brand and product stories in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Set the creative direction and oversight for industry-leading culture marketing campaigns in the UK
  • Collaborate with UK consumer marketing and global/regional teams to adapt messaging and positioning
  • Establish an agile agency model and manage relationships with creative professionals and agencies
  • Lead and inspire a cross-functional team and vendor partners to develop multiple concepts across media
  • Oversee end-to-end campaigns for Google brands and product areas (Search, Gemini, Pixel)
  • Provide clear direction and actionable creative feedback to push work forward
  • Demonstrate strong creative judgment aligned with Google Marketing brand guidelines
  • Balance hands-on creation (design, mockups, writing, prototyping) with strategic leadership
  • Drive adoption of AI in creative production and explore innovation opportunities
  • Ensure campaigns meet quality, taste, and impact metrics across UK market

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 13 years of experience in a creative discipline (e.g., writing, design, art direction, or video production)
  • Experience managing creative, social, and production agencies and agency relationships
  • Knowledge of Google brands, brand standards, and Google Grade work
  • Strong track record leading end-to-end ATL and social campaigns
  • Ability to work in a flexible, changing environment and cross-functional teams
  • Experience with the influencer/creator landscape and social-native campaigns
  • Proven leadership in developing talent and fostering inclusive team environments
  • Proficiency in balancing hands-on creation with strategic direction
