Overview

As Senior Manager in EY’s US/UK Cross Border Private Client team, you will lead UK tax delivery for high‑net‑worth individuals and internationally mobile clients with US connections. You will manage a client portfolio, act as the main day‑to‑day contact, and support Directors/Partners on complex advisory engagements. You will help develop the team and contribute to business growth, while collaborating with EY colleagues across borders. Your work will shape cross‑border structuring, residence and remittance planning, and wealth succession strategies. This role offers exposure to global clients within a collaborative, development‑focused culture and a flexible working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients with complex UK tax affairs ensuring high‑quality delivery and client service
  • Prepare and review UK tax returns and advisory work, escalating technical matters as needed
  • Support on technically complex advisory projects, including cross‑border structuring and planning
  • Identify UK and international tax issues (e.g., IHT, trusts, succession planning) and coordinate with specialists
  • Build strong client relationships as a trusted day‑to‑day adviser
  • Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities and supporting proposals
  • Monitor WIP, billing and recoveries across the portfolio
  • Coach and develop junior team members and support their progression
  • Collaborate with Directors and Partners on priorities, resourcing and delivery

Key requirements

  • Strong experience in UK private client tax within practice
  • Experience managing and reviewing UK tax compliance and supporting advisory work
  • Good understanding of non‑domination, residence and internationally mobile client issues
  • Confident in managing client relationships and day‑to‑day interactions
  • Commercial mindset with ability to identify opportunities and add value
