As Lead ICSS Engineer at ABB, you will steer the technical delivery of Integrated Control & Safety System projects across national and international energy and industrial sectors. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure safe, secure, on-time, and on-budget delivery, and provide high-quality solutions across the full project lifecycle. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams of up to 10 engineers, managing workloads, mentoring, and promoting engineering best practices
• Deliver ICSS engineering solutions across the full project lifecycle (design, configuration, testing, commissioning, close-out)
• Act as technical authority, reviewing/approving deliverables and ensuring safety, cybersecurity, quality, and contractual compliance
• Collaborate with Project Managers and customers to define technical solutions, resolve challenges, manage risks, and ensure project success
• Support project planning with engineering estimates, resource plans, schedules, and cost forecasts
• Provide technical leadership during installation, commissioning, start-up, and site activities
• Engage with customers, contractors, suppliers, and ABB product development centers to manage technical queries and change requests
• Drive continuous improvement through knowledge sharing, coaching, design excellence, and lessons learned

Key requirements

• Degree in Engineering (or HNC/HND with significant experience)
• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering ICSS, DCS, PCS, ESD, and Fire & Gas projects in Energy/Oil & Gas/Process Industries
• Strong expertise in design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of ICSS
• Knowledge of Modbus, Profibus, Profinet protocols
• Understanding of safety, cybersecurity, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders within time and budget
• Strong leadership, coaching, decision-making, and problem-solving
