Sales Account Manager | Birmingham / Bedworth | Full Time | £35,000 per annumOur client is a historic British manufacturer with a heritage dating back to 1685. The company is renowned for quality craftsmanship and specialises in medals and awards, insignia, embroidery, ribbons, regalia, jewellery, silverware, neckwear and bespoke products.The company works with prestigious customers across the military, government, sporting, corporate and institutional sectors, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing and design.The RoleThey are seeking a commercially focused Sales Account Manager to join their sales team.Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for managing and developing existing customer accounts, generating new business and ensuring a high level of customer service from initial enquiry through to delivery.The role will be approximately 80% existing account management and 20% new business development. You will inherit an existing portfolio of B2B customers, primarily within the corporate clothing and sports sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and develop a portfolio of existing customer accountsBuild strong, long-term customer relationshipsIdentify and develop new sales opportunitiesRespond to enquiries and prepare quotations and proposalsFollow up leads and quotations to maximise sales opportunitiesManage customer orders and projects from enquiry through to deliveryLiaise with internal teams to ensure customer requirements and deadlines are metProactively resolve customer issues and queriesMaintain accurate CRM, sales pipeline and account informationSupport the Sales Director with sales forecasting and business developmentAttend customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events when requiredAchieve agreed sales and margin targetsRequirementsEssentialPrevious sales or account management experienceStrong customer relationship and communication skillsExcellent organisation and attention to detailCommercially driven and target-focusedAbility to manage multiple accounts and deadlinesConfident using Microsoft Office and CRM systemsProactive, professional and able to work independently and as part of a teamFull UK driving licenceDesirableExperience within manufacturing, textiles, apparel, luxury goods, sporting or related sectorsExperience managing bespoke or made-to-order productsWhats In It For You£35,000 per annum, with flexibility depending on experience25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysFull-time hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with an early finish on FridayFlexible working arrangementsPension contributions in line with the legal requirementCommission or bonus structure open to discussionProfessional development and training open to discussionWhats next?
