Overview
In this role you will support Bradford’s Digital Inclusion Service across diverse communities, helping people access digital skills and devices. You’ll work with partner organisations to deliver community-based activities, sessions, and events, and you’ll promote digital inclusion through outreach and relationship-building. You will help identify barriers, collect evidence of impact, and contribute to funding efforts. This is a meaningful opportunity to shape digital access across the district and empower residents to engage in health, education, and employment opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the Digital Inclusion Action Plan across the district under the Digital Inclusion Service Lead
- Promote and support the service through outreach and engagement with partners
- Coordinate Digital Friends (staff & volunteer training) in community organisations
- Deliver community-based digital inclusion activities
- Identify and address individual digital inclusion barriers and needs
- Support design and delivery of digital access sessions, drop-ins, and events
- Assist in identifying and applying for funding to sustain work
- Build and maintain relationships with local organisations and partners
- Help individuals improve digital confidence and access to health, education, and employment opportunities
- Deliver awareness-raising sessions and basic training using digital tools and devices
- Collect and present data, stories, and feedback to demonstrate impact
- Support equality, diversity, and inclusion by targeting digital support to those most in need
- Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
