Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

Overview

In this role you solve complex equipment issues and support silicon wafer processing, packaging and test systems. You will lead installation, improvements and troubleshooting across a cleanroom environment, applying hands-on electronics knowledge in gas, chemical, robotics and vacuum contexts. You work with cross-functional teams, manage your workload effectively, and provide clear updates to production. This position combines field problem solving with project work and safety documentation, offering meaningful impact in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment issues promptly and provide progress updates to production teams
• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with external engineers; document actions and meeting minutes
• Perform preventive maintenance ensuring Health and Safety compliance
• Undertake project work including new equipment installations and equipment modifications
• Provide documentation and training to others
• Produce all risk assessments for equipment and review contractor method statements and permits to work

Key requirements

• Minimum HNC in electronics
• Experience in a multidisciplined role with strong electronics skills
• Background in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
