As part of continued investment in its manufacturing capability, Semefab is looking to appoint an Equipment Engineer to join its experienced engineering team.
This opportunity would suit either an Equipment Engineer or a technically capable Maintenance Engineer who enjoys fault finding, solving problems and working on automated manufacturing equipment.
Previous semiconductor experience would certainly be advantageous, however it is not essential. We are far more interested in finding someone with strong engineering fundamentals, a logical approach to troubleshooting and a genuine desire to learn.

The Role
Working within a cleanroom manufacturing environment, you’ll help maintain and improve a wide range of specialist manufacturing equipment used to produce semiconductor devices.
The equipment incorporates electrical systems, electronics, pneumatics, robotics and precision mechanical assemblies, with full training provided to develop your knowledge of the processes and equipment unique to the semiconductor industry.
Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll play an important role in ensuring equipment reliability, supporting production and contributing towards continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair faults across electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
* Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
* Support equipment upgrades, qualification activities and engineering changes.
* Work closely with Process Engineers, Manufacturing and Production teams to minimise downtime.
* Accurately complete maintenance documentation and follow quality procedures. xwwtmva
