We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Intelligence & Data Engineer to join an established medium-sized business based in the Southampton / Portsmouth area, Hampshire. This is a hybrid role with at least 3 days per week in the office. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable SQL databases and data pipelines to support business intelligence activities.
- Build and optimise Power BI dashboards and reports to enable data-driven decision making across teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous testing and validation procedures.
- Automate data workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data systems, ensuring optimal performance and resolving issues promptly.
- Participate in data governance and security initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and policies.
This role would suit a driven BI & Data Engineer with excellent SQL Server / SQL skills and a passion for turning data into actionable insights.
- Proven experience with SQL development, including database design and optimisation.
- Strong knowledge of Power BI, with a demonstrated ability to create impactful dashboards and reports.
- Experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
