Trading Applications Specialist

Overview

In this role you ensure the reliability and stability of trading services in a global tech-driven team. You will blend markets knowledge with strong technical skills to support systematic trading applications, drive incident management, and push automation to optimize daily workflows. You’ll learn how outages are handled and minimized in a large-scale trading operation, contributing to continuous innovation. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility position with meaningful impact on uptime and performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-market checks to ensure a smooth market open
• Monitor trading applications and execution strategies using proprietary observability frameworks
• Conduct post-trade checks and resolve reporting issues
• Own incident management and root-cause analysis to reduce downtime
• Develop tools and scripts to automate operational tasks and onboarding of new apps/services
• Work on projects to onboard new applications into production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and automation

Key requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics or a similar discipline
• Up to 4 years of experience in a buy/sell side or similar environment
• Experience with Linux, Python, Bash
• Knowledge of equities, fixed income, derivatives or related asset classes
• Exceptional communication, attention to detail, global teamwork
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and take on challenges
• Curiosity and drive to solve new problems
• Experience with kdb+/q, MSSQL, PostgreSQL (optional)
• Experience with FIX protocol (optional)
• Understanding of TCP/IP concepts (optional)
