IT Business Analyst

Overview

As an IT Business Analyst, you will bridge business needs with technology solutions within a large renewable energy organisation. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders, project teams and technical specialists to translate requirements into viable designs, supporting delivery across multiple projects. The role focuses on identifying improvements, documenting requirements, and guiding end-to-end delivery. This is a contract position offering mostly remote work with occasional office attendance. You will contribute to technology-enabled change across wind, solar and storage initiatives and help drive scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering via interviews, workshops and engagement activities
• Understand business needs, challenges and opportunities with stakeholders
• Analyse current and future processes to identify improvements and digital enablement
• Produce clear business requirements, user needs, user stories, process maps and acceptance criteria
• Document and communicate requirements to support design and delivery
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and delivery teams to translate requirements into solutions
• Support delivery lifecycle across requirements, design, development, testing and implementation
• Support testing and acceptance activities to ensure solutions meet requirements
• Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain cross-project communication
• Identify and manage impacts, risks, dependencies and changes throughout delivery
• Collaborate with Project Managers and wider delivery teams for successful outcomes

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst on IT or technology-enabled change projects
• Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement experience
• Experience facilitating workshops and interviews with business and technical stakeholders
• Experience documenting business requirements, processes, user needs and acceptance criteria
• Strong process mapping and business process analysis skills
• Experience working with Solution Architects, technical teams and Project Managers
• Experience supporting projects through design, development, testing and implementation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams in a complex environment
