Senior Software Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help design and build industry-leading FX risk management tools at a fast-growing B2B fintech. You will contribute as a technical leader within a collaborative engineering team, guiding best practices and mentoring junior engineers. Your work will enable processing of high-value transactions at scale and shape how customers navigate currency markets. The role combines hands-on development with architecture leadership in a dynamic, data‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and set engineering standards for the team
• Mentor and coach junior engineers
• Build tools to process multi‑billion-pound transaction flows
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices
• Work in an event‑driven architecture using AWS services
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable solutions

Key requirements

• Typescript proficiency
• Serverless technologies
• Extensive AWS experience (API Gateway, Lambda, Dynamo, DB, SQS, Kinesis, S3, ELK)
• Experience implementing TDD, SOLID, and clean code
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, relational databases, and event-driven architecture
• Node.js or related stack
• React experience listed in tech stack
