Software Security Engineer

Overview

In this role, you strengthen the security of the FortiDLP platform, helping to embed secure development practices across the product. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities, and ensure alignment with SOC 2 and ISO 27k standards. You’ll work on threat modelling, code reviews, and automated security checks that scale with a data-heavy product. Responsibilities

• Champion security across the FortiDLP product
• Maintain up-to-date, vulnerability-free dependencies
• Perform threat modelling, design and code reviews
• Maintain and tune automated vulnerability checks within CI systems
• Triage findings from scanning tools and drive remediations
• Coordinate with Fortinet Infosec to ensure SOC 2 and ISO 27k compliance

Key requirements

• Strong programming skills with 3–5 years of software engineering experience
• Backend development fundamentals
• Experience in Golang
• Knowledge of threat modelling and security concepts
• Familiarity with Checkmarx, Trivy, Kics or similar tools and DAST tooling
• Ability to learn new technologies and work with cross-functional teams
