Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers to build and refine deployment/management tooling for private cloud-native infrastructure
• Shape architecture and ensure a scalable, resilient production environment for a hyperscaler
• Oversee workload management, team well-being, and professional development of engineers
• Foster open collaboration across engineering, product/project management, and leadership
• Enhance support systems to enable team success
• Drive delivery of high-quality software in a cloud-native environment
• Plan and manage multiple complex projects across teams using SDLC best practices
• Champion best practices, process improvements, and change across the organization

Key requirements

• MS in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years in software engineering/development with 2-3+ years in a hands-on people-management role
• Strong cross-org collaboration and interpersonal communication across engineering, product/project management, and executive leadership
• Experience in large-scale distributed production environments and cross-functional troubleshooting
• Solid design and problem-solving skills with focus on quality, security, and performance
• Experience shipping software in a cloud-native environment
• Self-starter with ownership and accountability for deliverables
• Proven track record leading remote teams, hiring, onboarding, and mentoring engineers
• Knowledge of modern software development methodologies including containers (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD, and automated testing
• Understanding of SDLC with Jira and ability to plan, track, and manage multiple complex projects across teams
• Ability to empower best practices and drive organizational change
• Experience applying AI technologies to decision-making, workflows, and efficiency
