Sr. Software Engineer – AI/ML – AI Platform (EDI)

Overview

As a Senior AI Engineer on the AI Platform, you will architect and deliver AI-native capabilities powering Addepar’s platform. You drive end-to-end AI product delivery from prototype to production, focusing on scalable, high-performance systems. You’ll shape how LLMs, agentic frameworks, and AI tools are integrated across the product suite, collaborating with cross-functional teams. This is a mission-driven role at a fast-growing fintech leader, offering the chance to push AI in finance with real impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AI-native products from prototype to scalable services
• Architect and productionize core AI platform components (LLMs, vector databases, prompt tuning)
• Develop agentic capabilities (cross-platform tool use, web browsing, computer use)
• Ensure technical discipline and operational excellence across AI products
• Iterate rapidly using performance metrics and user feedback to drive improvements
• Evaluate and adopt new AI technologies to stay at the frontier
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to translate goals into technical solutions

Key requirements

• Extensive backend software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, gRPC, AWS, Kubernetes
• Proven track record shipping production-grade systems
• Experience shipping or building AI-native products or strong related projects
• Strong ownership mindset and bias for action
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent
• (Preferred) Experience with LLMs and agentic systems
• (Preferred) Experience with Databricks, Langchain, MLFlow
• (Preferred) Understanding of probabilistic systems underpinning LLMs
• (Preferred) Finance-domain AI product experience
