Application Security Engineer JavaScript

Overview

In this role you will strengthen security across web applications by partnering with engineers to embed secure coding and threat-focused design. You will lead offensive security efforts, including testing and reverse engineering, and influence architecture to reduce risks. You’ll work across the software development lifecycle to deliver resilient, secure web products. The position offers remote work with occasional London office collaboration and clear opportunities for career progression.

Responsibilities

• conduct offensive web security testing and vulnerability assessments
• perform penetration testing and reverse engineering
• identify security risks and collaborate with developers to mitigate them
• provide expert guidance on secure coding practices
• influence architecture and design decisions for security
• embed security throughout the software development lifecycle

Key requirements

• strong experience in web application security and offensive security testing
• hands-on penetration testing and reverse engineering
• deep understanding of modern web vulnerabilities and mitigations
• commercial JavaScript experience with TypeScript knowledge desirable
• comfortable writing and reviewing production code
