Vice President, Network and Security Engineer

Overview

In this role you will support MUFGs EMEA data network, including firewall and network infrastructure, ensuring reliable incidents resolution and documentation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage incidents, document network topology, and support network data projects. The position emphasizes incident ownership, communication with users and vendors, and adherence to project timelines. You will operate within MUFGs people-first, collaborative culture focused on innovation, agility, and sustainable growth. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to complex enterprise networking at a major financial group.

Responsibilities

• Own and troubleshoot network incidents from first alert to resolution, coordinating with users, teammates, and vendors.
• Maintain and create comprehensive network diagrams and documentation.
• Support network data projects, delivering tasks within specified timelines.
• Assist with NSS duties including data, security, and infrastructure, and participate in shift-based coverage.

Key requirements

• Strong understanding of IP addressing, subnets, and ISO layers.
• Experience with Layer 3 routing, IPv4 redistribution, EIGRP/OSPF/BGP, VLANs, and high availability.
• Proficiency with Cisco NX-OS, IOS, ACI, ISE, Meraki; experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, CheckPoint, Cisco ASA) and F5 BigIP.
• Knowledge of multicast, data center networking, and network security practices.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting complex multi-protocol networks and creating documentation.
• Ability to work in shift-based coverage, including after-hours and weekends as required.
