Building Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will lead refurbishment, remediation and project delivery within a busy Building Surveying team. You’ll work across public sector, commercial property, and fire remediation/cladding projects, collaborating with clients and contractors to drive projects from inception to completion. The position offers exposure to varied programmes and a pathway to career growth within a growing consultancy. You will apply technical surveying skills to diagnose defects, prepare specifications, and manage risks and budgets, shaping project outcomes.

Pay / Benefits

• Salary 45,000 – 65,000

Responsibilities

• Project management and contract administration for refurbishment/remediation projects
• Building surveys, defect diagnosis, and technical reporting
• Preparing specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation
• Managing refurbishment and remediation programmes and budgets
• Supporting fire remediation and cladding programmes
• Managing contractors, programmes, and risk while maintaining client relationships
• Supporting the wider Building Surveying team and contributing to business growth

Key requirements

• BSc in Building Surveying
• MRICS or MCIOB qualified, or actively working towards accreditation
• Experience in project delivery and contract administration
• Confident in client-facing roles with contractors
• Technically strong with good commercial awareness
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects
• Experience across public sector, commercial property, fire remediation or cladding would be advantageous
