In this role you will join a high-growth, innovative team building an enterprise-grade Python-based platform for large social data. You will work closely with founders, designers and engineers to shape technical architecture and product features in a green-field environment. The position offers exposure to a modern stack including Python, Django and Twisted, with a frontend in HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript (AngularJS). You will move fast in an agile setting, evangelising new technologies and delivering data-driven, scalable solutions. Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select technologies to implement product features
• Collaborate with founders, UI/UX designers and technical staff on development
• Assist in recruitment, training, retention and organization of development staff
• Contribute to agile development and prototype new technologies
• Help shape the architecture and drive technical direction

Key requirements

• 2+ years of commercial Python and Django development
• Full-stack experience with frontend tech (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/AngularJS)
• Strong understanding of agile development practices (Scrum/Kanban)
• Database design for relational and non-relational systems and performance optimization
• Exposure to Python data libraries (NumPy, SciPy, pandas, IPython) and handling large data sets
• Experience with Google Maps integration
