Data Business Analyst (RLAM)

Overview

In this role you will drive data and business analysis for Client Group initiatives within RLAM, partnering with Product Owners and senior stakeholders. You’ll translate requirements into clear user stories, validate data needs, and help shape data-driven solutions. You will navigate agile delivery within a scrum team, addressing barriers and ensuring effective reporting. You’ll work across data models and multiple systems to support responsible investing and client-focused outcomes, delivering meaningful impact for the team and customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive business and data analysis for Client Group initiatives and complex change in collaboration with Product Owners and senior stakeholders
• Capture and document requirements, translate into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process docs
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to validate data requirements and ensure accurate reporting
• Identify barriers to transformation, helping prioritisation and scoping of backlog items
• Contribute to data project solution design considering people, process, technology, risks and controls
• Engage in reviews and testing with developers, testers, architects and business users
• Proactively resolve issues, design solutions and present recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Understand data models (normalised and denormalised) across multiple systems
• Work as part of a scrum team using agile methodologies with client group, central data teams and technology

Key requirements

• Experienced Business Analyst with strong grasp of the Asset Management industry
• Proven track record in business and data modelling, process design and solution concepts
• Experience with change management processes and operating models within an agile framework, with delivery in a Scrum team
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms and relational and non-relational databases; SQL proficiencies
• Ability to translate diverse stakeholder requirements into value-add deliverables as user stories
• Ability to collaborate with architects, data management and data governance to deliver positive outcomes
• Experience with testing elements in product/solution design and operating model implementations
• Excellent communication skills translating complex data solutions for non-technical stakeholders
