Engineering Manager, Connectivity – London

Overview

Lead a connectivity engineering team building the infrastructure that powers tool usage across Anthropic products. You’ll align with engineering leadership across London and San Francisco to define roadmaps, scale token management and OAuth, and keep proxy infrastructure reliable for external partners. You’ll foster an inclusive culture while delivering across claude.ai, Claude Code, Cowork, and the API. This role is a chance to shape enterprise-grade trust and accessibility at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team building connectivity infrastructure from the MCP proxy to OAuth and token management
• Hire, coach, and develop top technical talent across time zones
• Mentor and support career development for direct reports
• Partner with SF Connectivity leadership, product, security, and platform teams to define roadmaps
• Drive cross-team alignment to ship work across Claude products and API
• Establish engineering best practices including on-call, incident response, and postmortems
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as part of the management team

Key requirements

• Experience managing software engineering teams including hiring and performance management
• Technical background in backend or platform engineering with architectural decision-making ability
• Experience operating production distributed systems with focus on reliability and observability
• Excellent communication skills across teams and time zones
