Compliance Manager (Housing & Property Compliance)
We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead the delivery of property compliance and building safety services across a diverse property portfolio.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing compliance strategies, policies, and procedures that ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements. You will lead a team of compliance professionals, oversee audit and assurance programmes, manage contractors and consultants, and drive continuous improvement across compliance and safety functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage housing and property compliance services, ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.
- Develop, review, and implement compliance policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Manage and develop a team, providing supervision, mentoring, performance management, and support.
- Oversee audit, assurance, and monitoring programmes to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
- Manage remedial action programmes, ensuring issues are identified, tracked, and resolved effectively.
- Procure and manage specialist contractors and consultants, monitoring performance and service delivery.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on building safety, asset compliance, and statutory obligations.
- Produce reports and performance data for senior stakeholders, ensuring compliance targets and KPIs are achieved.
About You:
- Proven experience in compliance management within housing, property, building safety, or asset management.
- Strong knowledge of landlord compliance and key compliance disciplines, including fire safety, gas, electrical, asbestos, water hygiene, and lift safety.
- Experience leading teams and managing contractor performance.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of compliance and customer service.
This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
